The Integrated Program team (IPT) Leader is responsible for the cost/schedule management, and, coordination/execution of the design and development activity, including testing and validation of systems and/or components. The IPT leader will ensure that the development activities are executed in compliance with the Program Operating Plan, all applicable Standard Work, and, applicable Standard Procedures (SP's). The IPT Leader shall be responsible for leading as well as documenting various process outputs: such as requirements management; risk management; proposal activities; earned value; resource management; passport reviews; manufacturing process reviews; peer/design reviews; design-to-cost/manufacture trades; technical reporting; test readiness reviews; and action item capture/closure. The IPT Leader is the liaison for all technical communication between the team, the programs, and the external customers. The IPT Lead typically is the technical team lead in the preliminary design phase, detailed design phase, and the validation phase of the product life cycle

**Area of Expertise:**


Engineering classifications engaged in research and/or product development encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: General, Chemical, Design, and/or Civil. Also includes project/program management.


**IPT Lead:**


**Responsible for the management, coordination and execution of the component Integrated Product Development Team**


Provide Technical, cost and schedule information for reporting to next higher team. Ensure IPT's reach decisions necessary to


+ Provide Technical, cost and schedule information for reporting to next higher team.

+ Ensure IPT's reach decisions necessary to achieve overall component goals

+ Participates with Program Management Team (PMT) for progress reporting, risk assessment, risk mitigation and execution of program decisions

+ Accountable to PMT for system or component level ownership of task planning and execution and identifies requirements for IPT membership

+ Demonstrates through design reviews and validation testing to the PMT that all goals and requirements are being addressed

+ Informs PMT of issues that may compromise a satisfactory component level requirements solution

+ Manages IPT budget and schedule in accordance with EVMS process and the scope of the project.

+ Interrogate functional work products and plans that conflict with project scope.

+ Provides program PMT & IPTs with appropriate EVMS tools, training and data access needed to manage effectively.


Due to Federal Government contracts US Citizenship is required.


This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with NASA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per NASA's regulation SUBPART 1835.5 Drug- Free Workforce


**Education:**


+ BA/BS degree w/6-10+ years experience

+ MA/MS degree w/4-7+ years experience

+ PhD degree w/2-4+ years experience
